Basic Needs Program: one time only – help with food, household essentials, clothing, and personal needs for low-income families and senior citizens who are facing an unexpected difficulty – medical or other.
One-time assistance to employed single parents in Colorado who are experiencing a crisis (employment or other income interruption) which threatens their continued independence.
Helps people having organ transplants in Colorado with ancillary needs.
Assists people who can’t afford on-going post-transplant medication.
Friends of Man Assists With:
- Adaptive Equipment
- Assistive technology (medically prescribed)
- Basic Needs (food, clothing, household essentials, personal needs)
- Bioness and walk-aid devices
- Cataract surgery
- Compression garments
- Daycare for currently employed applicants
- Dentures and extractions
- Food and gas during medical treatment
- Glasses
- Hearing aids
- Limited bathroom modifications (no repairs, remodels or walk-in tubs)
- Lift Chairs
- Medical equipment (including oxygen concentrators)
- Mobility equipment (wheelchairs, scooters, lifts, etc.)
- Orthopedic braces and shoes
- Partial dentures and fillings for employed applicants
- Prescriptions
- Prostheses
- Rent assistance for employed applicants (call us first)
- Stairlifts
- Therapy camp for children
- Vehicle adaptations, hand controls (no van conversions)
- Wheelchair ramps
Friends of Man Does Not Assist With:
- Back bills (already paid, ordered, received, or work started)
- Utilities and other ongoing services
- Exams or diagnostic testing
- Therapies
- Home exercise & hospital equipment (incl: beds, Hoyer lifts)
- Deposits
- Home repairs or remodels
- Vehicle repairs and purchases
- All Other Items NOT Specifically Listed (above in green)
